The GARDENA Universal Axe 1400 A is a versatile cutting tool that is ideal for splitting firewood such as hardwoods for example oak and beech, or the softwood of a resinous pine. It is equally suited for limbing, cutting off roots and cutting through stronger branches.
To ensure that every blow achieves its full power, the axe has a well-balanced centre of gravity that is close to the axe head. It ensures proper weight distribution resulting in increased striking and splitting power.
Thanks to the durable head handle attachment you never have to hold back when striking. During splitting, the hammer function asssists when driving a wedge into the log. The hardened blade made from premium tool steel reduces frictional resistance and makes it easier to chop into the wood.
The join between the handle and head is protected by a riveted stainless steel impact protection. It protects the handle if you miss the log when splitting. The premium tool steel blade with a special coating significantly reduces frictional resistance and makes it easier to penetrate the wood. Wood resin also does not easily adhere.
